  • According to the World Health Organization and Food and Agricultural Organization, 25% of the world’s agricultural
    products are contaminated with mycotoxins.

the body, including the respiratory system (sinus and lungs), musculoskeletal system (muscles, bones, and connective
tissues), and the central and peripheral nervous systems (brain, spine, and nerves).

In what ways can mycotoxins affect the body, including their immunosuppressive, neurotoxic, and carcinogenic properties? Expand

Mycotoxins have the capacity to impact the human body in a variety of detrimental ways due to their complex properties. One such effect is their ability to act as immunosuppressants, compromising the proper functioning of the immune system. Additionally, mycotoxins exhibit neurotoxic properties, causing harm to the neurological system and manifesting in symptoms like vibration, tingling, numbness, headaches, and vision irregularities. Moreover, these toxic substances are known to be carcinogenic, potentially leading to the development of cancer in affected individuals. Beyond these notable effects, mycotoxins can also induce dermatoxic, teratogenic, nephrotoxic, hepatotoxic, genotoxic, and infertility impacts on the body, highlighting the extensive range of harm they can cause.

What are mycotoxins and why are they considered a hidden cause of health issues worldwide? Expand

According to the World Health Organization and Food and Agricultural Organization, 25% of the world’s agricultural products are contaminated with mycotoxins. It is crucial to understand that mycotoxins from mold exposure can lead to a myriad of health issues affecting various organs and systems within the body. Mold toxicity is often a hidden root cause of health problems that may go unnoticed in standard medical evaluations. Unlike many common health markers checked by regular labs, mycotoxins require specialized functional lab testing for accurate detection. The symptoms of mycotoxin toxicity can be nonspecific and challenging to diagnose, potentially putting individuals at risk of long-term health consequences.
